So uh, we kicked this idea around for a while, and I still think it'd be kind of fun.

Some sort of way to have special bouts and judges and try and get some sort of ranking system going on around here.

I know we don't have many active role play battlers around here, but would anyone be interested in giving this a shot? .-.

People who appear to feign interest to make me happy:

I'm in. I don't role play much, but this is a cool idea.

Can Lexaeus and Lexaeus Legio be in it?

If so, I'm in.

Lexaeus Legio will have all the indented spells and techniques he was meant to have.

I was actually thinking of making pretty nice guidelines for characters created for these. Allowing all sorts of powers and abilities so that we don't have to be "tied down" in many ways. It'd be nice to expand on the whole idea of playing with powerful characters instead of nubs as we usually do in order to try and make "fair" fights. Allowing fully powered characters (within reason) while having judges could be kind of fun.

Off limit powers would be reality/time manipulation/multi-dimensional beings/etc

But Lexaeus Legio knows some time magicks. Does this mean he can't use any of them or some of them?

I'd definitely join something like this if it actually started up. :> So long as we have judges who judge when a move is just silly such as magically surviving a move wherein you are unable to move and are hovering in midair whilst simultaneously being crushed into the ground by a balled up tractor trailer by controlling a previous attack that should have left behind no remains but happened to leave some behind this time because there was no other feasible way for that person to avoid the incoming attack.

Yes, I'm still pissy about how that killed the H&V RP. :I

I'm still skeptical about this since I know a lot of people tend to, as Dreamy mentioned in the Partybox, abandon roleplays and be like "Oh this is good idea" and then give up after a few days.

So I'm not using my brain power to devise do's and don'ts.

Likely any time magic that would freeze opponent in a pocket of time would be b& because I don't think that kind of fighting is fun :I

Neither does Lexaeus Legio. He uses other time magick than that.

I'm up for this, but as long as people don't give up on posting halfway through. Also, battles that last for days wouldn't be that fun in a tournament.

Maybe strict rules and deadlines for battles should be enforced to make this successful because I'd like this to be accomplished :x

I was thinking about possibly like a thread limit before the battle is "decided". Something about maybe a 5 page maximum and so we can have concise battles and inactivity for too long counts towards DQ. There's ways to do it but I really don't want to see every battle end up in DQ.

I would definitely join something like this.
A girl, she sits alone on a pitch black night, sad, as nights dark veil descends, but low, the moon nestles into the sky, silvery and full, banishing the dark once it came, when dawn breaks, the night of atonement quietly departs

Been thinking about this off and on, and so I thought that if this goes through the rules would look something similar to this:

I. Creating a brand new character(s) specifically for this battle/tournament/ranking stuff [or updating an older one if wanted]

II. Established Universe characters would not be allowed (I.E. Ichigo from Bleach, etc), however characters based in fictional worlds would be allowed (I.E. an original shinigami from Bleach's universe)

III. Powers like transforming and whatnot would be allowed within reason (i.e. Werewolves/Demons). Multiple power levels/forms would be disallowed. In other words, if Goku from DBZ were to fit into this he could only go Super Saiyan, but not Ascended Super Saiyan. Keeps things more or less on the level.

IV. Abilities/Powers would have to have a sort of weakness, even if it isn't implicitly stated. In other words, you can't just have something like "Darkness spreads everywhere, wiping out all it touches and turning it to nothingness", because that would be more or less an auto-hit style attack. Hard to explain, but I'm sure it'll eventually come up where I'd explain why I personally feel x or y is unfair because of z.

That's all I can think of so far.

I like the rules. They seem reasonable enough for a thing like this. Should keep everything fair so one person will not have the edge over another because of forms/powers.
