So my girlfriend has an obsession with the movie Troy. She never stopped talking about it.

Heard an interesting thing on the radio today that Los Angeles have passed (or in the process of passing) a law saying that every male porn actor have to use a condom. This is supposed to protect actors from getting STD's according to a spokesperson for the group pushing this law.

In response to this, the porn industry had an outrage, threatening to move to another city, though most of the suggested locations weren't so keen to accepting them. One possible location to relocate to is Las Vegas, though the group pushing the law in LA claimed that if the porn moved, so would they.

Having this law would mean alienating a lot of the more "hard core" and alternative material produced, meaning great losses in income for the porn industry, as well as for LA itself, especially if the industry relocates.

What thoughts do all of you have on this?

Oh wow. This would be a blow to LA's economy, especially since California in general was hit badly in the collapse and because of Schwarzenegger's inefficiently-expensive green project.

I thought that's what they do before shooting, They get the actors, test them for STD's and if they're clean they begin shooting. It's hard to believe that they don't test them.

They make them test test each month or something last time I checked. Not that I check regularly.
