So I've been thinking of how I do little on this site as is. This isn't much as I'm sure you can find better playthroughs, but this is kinda my homebrewed way of saying "thank you" to you guys after knowing you all so long. As I've had little else for consoles besides the good ol' PS1 and 2, games on those consoles are about all I can offer.

I will play several games I own on an emulator, recording with Hypercam, and let you fellas see these games while maybe challenging myself on a few of them, such as MGS1. I originally planned on using a TV+Camera, but not only is the quality overall kinda low, the camera's too noisy and it's a pain in the ass getting conditions just right for a decent recording.

You'll have high quality video/audio if I can do this correctly, in exchange for me being a bit unfamiliar with these controls, so no ridicoulously hard challenges, please. At any rate, I'll play MGS1 first, as planned, and you can see the limitations I set for myself on this thread: http://knightly-game...read.php?t=1874

If you wish to tell me about a game in mind you wish for me to do a playthrough of, do so in a PM or post and I'll either accept or decline. You may also challenge me to finish said game without certain items/controls/whatever. Otherwise, I'll move onto one of the 4 games or so I have lined up for after this. Once I have completed a playthrough, I will post it on here and move onto my next choice or do a recommendation from one of you guys. Don't be surprised if these playthroughs may be weeks apart, as some games may take a while to finish and I will have school soon, thus, less time.

I would love to stream it if I can. Yer gonna have to be on around 9:00-10:00 AM EST and around 7:00-8:00 PM, though, if ya wanna catch the start of each session. Those are my usual times. I doubt I'll play longer than a few hours at any given time, really, until maybe Sunday. :O

UPDATE: Probably just a minor issue I'll settle soon, but for now, HyperCam is refusing to capture sound. Recording is delayed until this problem is fixed, obviously.

I definitely don't recommend Hypercam for recording. You're better off with a full version of Camtasia or Fraps. If you need them, I can help you get them.

That would certainly be helpful be if you could help me get them. I'm falling behind schedule as is already, as Hypercam isn't being too friendly with audio at all.

Thanks, much. Alright folks, recording will begin tomorrow, with a possibility of a live stream. I will tell you all if I do end up streaming the gameplay, so be on the lookout on this thread/the shoutbox/your PM inbox.

Extra Goodies: These are not necessary to the game sequence, but I thought I'd include them anyway.


-Exiting/Entering B1's vent shaft several times so that you see Meryl doing stretches in just her underwear and shirt. Catching the guard on the toilet as well, though, and thanks to the graphics Akiba's ass WILL not be censored. I cannot easily fix that if at all. >.>;

-Once I play through the game three times, this time included, I will include a version in which Snake is wearing a tux and Fox is all blue and red.

-Somewhere along the line, I'll record the Briefing files as well. It'll probably be uploaded after I get all the gameplay videos set up, though. Sorry for doing it in reverse order like that.

Hate to double post in my own thread, but this is kinda dead otherwise, ya?

I'm offically off hiatus now. I found a replacement program to merge AVI clips and I figured out how to save on a mem card for this instead of using save states. So, unlike the videos I had up earlier ( which I took the curtesy of deleting for you ), everything I record is on one runthrough. And I can record on weekdays as well now because I'll always pick up EXACTLY where I left off. Neat, huh? :>

Also, I recently played this game on Normal Mode on my PS2, and by some miracle, I survived the torture sequences, so I'll see if I can do that on here as well.

That being said, once I finish my lunch, I'll record some stuff and upload it. Still no luck with streaming though, sorry. :(
