So I've been playing this wonderful and quite underrated gem for most of my winter break and I have to say, being a Stalker inside The Zone is a pretty baller experience.

Instead of gameplay/plot discussion though, there is only one way to truly appreciate the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and that is by sharing the stories we have of The Zone, such as so:

> have to get through a military outpost
> decide to hide inside the attic of an abandoned farm house and snipe them from there
> fail miserably because a Mosin Nagant with no scope is stupid
> end up having to use my pistol as the slowly approach me
> still have the element of surprise
> BANG BANG BANG BA- gun is jammed, have to fix it ASAP
> they slowly surround me, setting up a perimeter around the farm house
> resort to taking potshots through the windows while hiding and taking cover every other shot
> eventually take out all the military personnel stationed at the outpost
> rush out so reinforcements don't find their dead buddies and, most importantly, me.
> don't notice hole on the floor
> fall to ground floor, into empty fireplace
> "well at least there wasn't any-"
> force anomaly makes me explode into a million pieces

Such is life in the Zone.

Hello, fellow bar patrons. I have come back from my latest expedition from deep within the Zone. And this time, I have 85% less critter marks on my armor! =>

So, after exploding last time, I decided to heed the veteran Stalkers' advice and respect the Zone rather than go at it guns a-blazing. In fact, I may have just redeem my actions from last time. Anyway, I had found myself in a similar situation as last time but I had discovered that there was a hidden passage to the to farm house's rooftop. Upon reaching the top, I took a silenced pistol I had looted from a bandit's cadaver and began to pick off the military unit that guarded the main road that I had to go through. I was successful this time, and even got an experimental pistol known as the Fort-15 from the commanding officer. As I headed back to the local trader's bunker, he proposed a mission of sorts that would test out how good of a gunslinger I was.

And now for the greentext.

> decide to test it out on the local military patrol
> yes, I have a problem with them
> Somehow kill them all with headshots
> Be content and tell the trader on how effective this gun is
> "ATTENTION! WE WILL NOW SEND TROOPS TO KILL YOU."
> suddenly, the whole platoon stationed at the military cordon is out to kill me
> stand my ground, hope the Zone isn't in a sadistic mood
> Headshots, headshots everywhere
> Actually go into the compound
> Kill the three remaining guards
> Try to get into the CO's office
> He has abandoned it
> Steal military papers
> Go back to trader
> He offers me "3000, wait no, 2000 RU for the papers and 1000 for the gun"
> This is basically chump change
> ...
> Give them anyway and use some of the money to buy food from him
