In order to get Rook down on the ground and end this fight sooner then later, Overload would release his first restraint. In doing this Overloads power would surge all around him. A faint blue aura would cover his body and those that got too close would feel a heavy pressure upon them. He would slowly start to absorb all of this power and channel it through his suit into his hands. Both of his hands now would be glowing a very bright blueish white.

Overload would wait for Bloodhounds move to go off then he'd run along side of Rook keeping a good 15 foot distance at least. He would fire off one of his powered blasts towards Rooks right chest. If it connected fully it would surely cause a hefty blow, one that could possibly make the man stumble or lose his footing. If the blast was blocked by his arm or whatever else, it would still create quite a substantial amount of damage. Overload would wait for Guardians next move before attacking again or getting in close at all. If the three of them worked together and attacked non-stop even with small attacks, they'd be able to topple this foe.

"Come one boys! We got him right where we want him! We can do this. We need to make sure he goes down so we can protect everyone here. Keep going at him with everything you got. Bloodhound, make sure you keep up that shield or you'll get some really terrible damage by far, try and do whatever long range attacks you have. And Guardian, be careful, your armor really can't take much more of a beating, don't be afraid to pull back and catch your breath if you need it. We can do this guys, we're a great team and we are going to protect all of these people today."

Leo stumbled backwards from the force of the blow. He stepped back in a defensive stance with his sword in case he was to get attacked. He grunted and gritted his teeth. Suddenly the yellow psionic armor shattered. But faster than it dispersed a new armor formed.

"I will not fall." Leonard shouted while clutching his sword.

He then caught Overload's encouragements from the side along with the sight of an oncoming shot of energy.

He caught wind of the assistance of Bloodhound after the shield was brought up. He noticed from the cut of his eye a long sword like object flying towards Rook. He waited for the impact of the blast and for the long sword to reach before moving. He kept his blade steady in an attack stance. He was hoping to strike Rook again if not parry any possible attack to catch him off guard.

[ OVERLOAD | BLOODHOUND | GUARDIAN ]

Rook lazily batted away the sword which flew at him, breaking it apart. The shards slammed into his chest, shattering against his hardened exterior. He then saw Overload charging his laser. In response, he grabbed his right wrist and tugged the arm fully off of his body as he twisted to avoid the beam. It grazed his chest and sent him wheeling about. Aided by momentum, he extended his severed right arm out far enough to smack Guardian as he did so. The force would be sufficient to knock even Guardian enough to stagger him. If he blocked or braced for the impact, his armor would sustain the same amount of damage, but he would simply slide instead of stagger. Rook would complete his full rotation, regardless. His right arm sharpened to a point and solidified into a hardened stick as he finished his spin and launched it like a javelin toward Overload.

The arm would travel remarkably fast, especially aided by the added momentum of the blast. It wouldn't be too accurate, aimed only toward the left-hand side of his collarbone.

Rook's right shoulder bled molten stone, and his right breast smoked and bled as well from Overload's beam.

He pressed his foot more firmly against the stone, and it shrunk away to nothing as his chest healed and his arm slowly began to grow back, stopping three-quarters of the way down his forearm. He ran out of stone. Not that it would matter, of course. Rook seemed to be taking heavier breaths. Despite restoring his body to near-top condition, the blows were taking their toll.

Orias blinked at Robert. As usual, his deduction powers, though odd, came in handy. Slowly he recognized the area in Central Park they had set up in. He had actually been wandering around that section just the other night during another sleepless evening. He looked to his Professor.

"Professor Strong, I agree with Mister Robert. Perhaps bringing Mister Jason and Professor Ripple would be a good idea. I'll inform Master Damian and then try to distract these people as best I can."

He looked to Robert, "One is all I need."

Without waiting for permission, he flashed an uneasy smile and vanished into a puff of foul smelling smoke.

His eyes opened and he found himself in a strange, warm place. Shadows danced to his right as he walked along a brilliant orange corridor. He had been here many times, but all too short. He paused for a moment and analyzed the shadows moving. Others were close, but he was so separated from them. He looked away and sighed softly.

Hid body faded from existence within the orange plane.

In an instant he found himself on the stage of the Amphitheater. He blinked as fireballs whizzed overhead and the rumbling sound of stone filled his ears. While maintaining his focus, he saw that Damian was nearby within his barriers. He took a running start and vanished again, reappearing beside the strong man in an instant. The people nearby were frightened, some remarking on his horns and pitched tail. He ignored them.

"Master Damian, others are holding the Secretary of State in Central Park. Professor Strong should be on her way with reinforcements soon."

He nodded. Before a reply could come, he was gone. Back in the orange dimension. He took two steps and exhaled slowly he shut his eyes. He could hear voices. Murmurs, mostly, but he knew that they belonged to others. He smiled a bit. He felt peace.

His eyes opened and he was just over the purple woman's shoulder mere moments later. With a twist of his flexible body he would slam his foot into her neck as he spun with the momentum, falling to the ground in a crouched stance, saying not a word to any who were near.

He'd make a feeble grasp for the Secretary of State and attempt to teleport with her.

If he was successful, they would soon find themselves at the entrance of Central Park.

[ BRIMSTONE ]

Brimstone poofed out of nowhere directly beside Damian. He calmed the people down, saying that he was one of the good guys. He alerted Damian to the situation and was gone. He'd need backup, that's for damn sure. He looked out over the battle and saw that they were all busy. He could not... WOULD not endanger the lives of these people, even for the Secretary of State. Many lives far outweighed a single one. Once the situation here was handled, then they might help...

----

Cassandra grinned and raised her dagger to the Secretary's throat, holding the goblet down below as she said, "And now, our time beg-" A solid blow to the side of her head caused her to stagger to the side. The dagger traced a shallow gash along the Secretary's face, but nothing too serious. Cassandra hit the ground, dazed.

Fionna reacted instinctively. The stump suddenly shrunk down into the grass as the grass grew up in a cage around the woman. Before the new arrival had time to reach for the woman, several blades of grass slashed at him with sharpened edges as Fionna leaped to her feet and shouted, "The hell are you doin' here?" The grass would encase the Secretary of State in a cocoon, essentially. She rubbed the bridge of her nose and sword, "Dammit, I told her we shouldn't broadcast this shit. I told her. And what if they have a teleporter? Oh, look, they do."

The camera crashed to the ground and Brimstone would notice that the camerawoman, too, was a mutant. Her legs were developed oddly, her calves shorter than they should be, her feet overlong. She stood on her toes and spread her feet to assume a battle stance. It would be obvious to Brimstone that it wasn't her first rodeo.

Zachariah waved his hand and said, "Oi, oi, we're all adults 'ere. No need ta be so hasty, Cricket. Let's 'ear 'im out, our little 'eero." He grinned, a snide smirk, clearly condescending. He projected an air of "don't mess with me" so heavy that even Fionna shied away a bit when he spoke up.

Fionna motioned with her head to Cassandra and said, "Nice trick, gettin' the jump on Queenie there. Better hope you're gone before she gets up, or you'll be in a world of hurt. She doesn't much like surprises. 'Specially not little black freaks like you."

Orias blinked as the grass surrounded the woman.

Controlling moisture? Plantlife? Disadvantage to say the least, he thought. He vanished before the blades touched him and reappeared in a moment atop the cage. He slowly drew the short sword from behind his back, trying to keep the three in his line of sight.

He crouched down in a low stance and held his blade at his back leg.

"Release her and I'll be gone well before that."
He said softly, his pupil-less eyes darting over to the camerawoman.

He knew the situation didn't look very good. These people didn't seem like pushovers. Not by a long shot. However, he had to do whatever he could to save the woman. She was important, like Professor Strong said.

"There are other ways to make statement that will avoid bloodshed of the innocent."
he said, attempting to appeal to this group's morality. He figured it was a lost cause, but Master Damian always believed in fighting to be the last resort in a conflict. He knew, deep down, that he only had one long jump left in him right now. Especially after he had to tussle with some of these very strong people.

Allegro kept the pace brisk in his attack, however he was pretty positive The Wasp would dodge and weave, and this would give him a chance to teach Torch some teamwork, Torch's attacks should have much more of a greater effect on a bug, and he seemed to think Allegro wasn't doing anything. Allegro had a silly wandering thought at how Torch never really seemed to have a cool head. Allegro had started to play the same tune but elongated most of the musical phrases. The strings of energy would make whips upon whips upon whips of themselves. The fluid liquid force ripples would start to ripples everywhere and shoot in several directions around the Wasp.

The energy attacks would be directed at Wasp partially, but Allegro was well on to his movement and had made precautions against his dodge and weave skills. Allegro put a ton of effort into the masterpiece he was making around the Wasp. An attacking weave surrounded the area around the Wasp, whipping through all his escape routes. And rippling every which way surrounding him. Taking the occasional attack towards him, The Wasp would be entirely fine other than the fact that most of the area around him had attacks whipping every which direction and had preliminary measures in a spots that had weaker attack netting waiting just outside the trap. The wasp would have quite a bit of room to work with but this would slug a lot of his movements. Torch should recognize the trap being laid as Allegro started to focus on attacking within the restrained area.

There would be attacks coming all from every direction and Allegro's song would be nearing it's end shortly, The attacks would probably miss the Wasp but the Wasp would have some room to work with to dodge all the attacks. This would give Torch the perfect chance to launch a good attack to the Wasp, if the Wasp would try to dodge whatever attack the Torch would launch, the Wasp would probably be surprised to catch lots of tiny blunt force bullets shooting him towards the attack and several whips strike toward his back head and wings. It was possible for Torch to end the match right here.

Penelope looked at Robert and briefly smiled for a second at his problem solving. She nodded at Brimstone as he disappeared, ready to quickly run to Ripple and Jason. Before she did, though, she patted Robert on the shoulder. "Thanks kid" she briefly spoke before running out of the lobby. Penelope sprinted all the way to the front of Jasons room where she would Ripple and of course, Jason.

She looked at Ripple and let out a single puff of air to her breathing back to normal after sprinting all the way there. She had no choice but to sprint though, Brimstone was there and he was not going to be able to hold his own against the three mutants for long. "Hey we need to let Jason out and head to the central park. There mutants are over there with the Secretary as their captive. Brimstone is there but I don't know how long he'll be able to hold them off before something bad happens to him. I'll take him there, you can come along too. The more the better" she quickly briefly explained the situation, hoping that she could get to the park before anything really serious happens.

[ BRIMSTONE ]

Fionna noticed that the boy's hand, although cloaked in darkness, was a rather odd shape. He must have been holding some sort of weapon. For a reason she could not quite fathom, the dark blob planted himself atop the grass dome. The blades would weave up around his ankles, not touching him until, in an instant, they closed in around him, attempting to lock him in place. She was unsure if it would keep the boy from teleporting, but she figured it'd be worth a shot.

Zachariah tousled his hair and cleared his throat. His voice sounded different from before, clear, with a hint of a British accent, "Look, buddy, we don't wanna kill some of our own kind, even if you are..." His brown eyes flicked up and down along the pitch black creature, "... different than a Mutant. You ain't Human, and that's what counts. What's this girl mean to you, anyway?" He motioned to the cocoon of grass.

Cassandra started to squirm as she clutched her head. "Sonofabitch," she groaned. She then melted away into the ground, completely hidden from view.

Fionna whistled, "You should probably get going. Queen won't be happy with what you did, you know." She then snapped her fingers.

Wherever Brimstone had teleported to, if he was still in the clearing, Cricket would dash toward him with inhuman speed. Her initial motion was accompanied by a loud sonic boom, and subsequent motion could hardly be seen in such close quarters. The chirping noise her legs made as they sliced through the air was the only way to tell where she currently was. She would chase him wherever he would teleport to, attempting to land a single, solid kick to his body, somewhere. She could leap in a single bound to the tops of the trees, so even there would be unsafe for him. Should he leave the clearing, Cricket would skid to a halt and lean against the nearest tree. If her kick were to connect, it could break a rib, and possibly his forearm if he attempted to block with that. Regardless, it would send him skidding along the ground, at which point he would find himself tied down by the grasses and ferns around where he lay.

Mr. Ripple shut his book and looked up as Professor Milkweed came sprinting in to see him. One of his bushy eyebrows rose up in confusion as she relayed a quite peculiar story. He almost chastised her for sending a student off alone, but realized time was of the essence. He slumped to his feet and waddled to the door. The key slid into the lock and the door swung open. He called out, "Jason, Jason? Professor Milkweed has a mission for you. You are to accompany her on a rescue mission. It seems the Secretary of State is being held in Central Park. You are to go with her. No funny business, mister, or it'll be detention for a month! You hear me?" Sweat dripped in thick globules from the ends of his fingers as he said the last bit. He then pulled an empty jam jar from within his coat and siphoned off some of his sweat into the jar. He capped it off and handed it to Penelope. "My dear, if he causes any trouble, just splash him with this. He'll calm down straight away. Or you could splash him with regular water, whatever." He then plopped back down in his chair and resumed reading his book. If Penelope asked again if he was coming, he would wave his hand and say, "Oh heavens no, I'm too old for these half-cocked rescue missions. I'll leave that to you youngins."

Torch froze as the woman spoke about how mutants should rule over humans, He looked around and noticed how everybody made a huge deal about saving the humans. He looked down and thought about all the reason's why he should not kill all of these humans himself. One reason flowed through his head. " Wait and learn to control your power " with those words Torch gathered himself together and turned to face Allegro, he was doing well on his own against the wasp and Torch immediately noticed the trap where he could sneak behind the wasp and throw a burst of flames.

Torch quickly ran to the side of Wasp and whistled... " Uh forgetting about me? " Torch quickly followed by a dozen bursts of flames each aimed at different parts of his body, that would be difficult to counter, if struck would be deadly.

Bloodhound nearly lost his cool as he saw Rook tear off an arm and send it rocketing at Overload. He wanted to protect his friend, but against something like that, blood would do too little. Overload would have to dodge it himself. Giving a growl, Gemini poured blood from all his pores now - if someone looked at him, he'd appear to be just a big red puddle of gelatin. He stopped the flow once he had pushed out 3 liters in just a minute and a half, which left him feeling a little woozy and thirsty, but now was no time to stop.

Time to try this plan out. He called out to Guardian and Overload, "You two might wanna keep your distance for a bit...unless red is a color you like in splotches on your clothes."

Bloodhound concentrated on the collection of blood he had just let out, and had it hover up in the air. The curtain of blood soon split into thirds, and each he then crystallized into a spear. Nothing special, just three crudely made javelins that looked alike. Staring straight at Rook, he moved a hand as if he were throwing something, and all three javelins sped off towards his foe like the longsword before, aimed for Rook's chest. Mid-flight, Bloodhound would convert them back into liquid form.

If the blood hit its target, Gemini would have as much of the blood sink into Rook's chest as possible and start moving it all about in the hopes of weathering the mutant's rocky skin a bit. Should it end up headed for Rook's arm instead if the giant tried to brush it aside like the sword earlier, Bloodhound would merely do the same thing to his arm.

Leo slid backwards for a moment. He then grasped his stance and prepared to attack again. He watched as the blood that Bloodhound threw collided with Rook's chest. He then held the sword with his left hand as he created another in his right hand. He swung his right arm, which was stronger than his left, on Rook. If Rook were to try anything he would use the other sword to strike Rook on his left side with his other sword.

Leonard was determined to take Rook down. He couldn't just allow for Rook to take him down and get by. He was the Guardian after all. Even if the people he were guarding were afraid of him and his kind were those he was defending against.

Overload would release a shockwave around his body that would push the arm javelins trajectory slightly off course and just clip his left shoulder. The damage would not be too great, a little scuffed up and bloody but nothing that would affect his movement.

Overload would see Bloodhound attack Rook at this point and douse him in blood. He would then see Guardian attack Rook with two swords, at this point Rook should have his hands full and be fairly distracted, Overload would run semi close to him and release the other blast he had stored in his right hand. He would aim it right at his blood stained chest. At this distance Rook should not be able to dodge it fully, especially when he's being attacked in close range by Guardian. If the blast fully connected Rook would stumble back quite a bit if not fall completely. Even if the blast only grazed him the damage would still be quite a lot.

"We should have him with this guys! But be ready for anything still. He's a hard guy to knock out. Keep on pounding the hits on even if it seems he's done for. Fight till the very end. Either he gives up or we knock him out completely. "

Jason looked up from his desk as he heard his name called. He listened as his Mr. Ripple told him that Professor Milkweed had a mission for him. "Oh, well that's lovely." He stood up, walking casually over to to Professor Milkweed. "My, my... Penelope... looking lovely as ever." He took her hand and brought it to his lips, kissing it. "I feel privileged to go on this mission with you." He let go of her hand and looked to Mr. Ripple. He was about to speak when he noticed the jar the professor handed to Penelope; filled with his sweat. He stiffened up. Mr. Ripple had splashed him before; gave him a good shock. Jason let out a low growl. "Let's go. I want to get this over with. Get in, kill some baddies, rescue the bimbo, get laid, then come back in time for my show." He began to quickly walk off, wanting to get as far away from Mr.
Ripple as quickly as possible.

Penelope looked at Jason and wanted to scowl at his lack of respect when addressing a professor, but now was not the time. She pulled back her hand when Jason was done and looked at Ripple while she took the jar of sweat. She resisted looking at it in disgust, knowing that if Jason were to go out of control she would need it. "Alright, see you soon" Penelope briefly said to Ripple before running after Jason. She quickly took the lead in front of Jason.

She lead them out of the school, pulling out her mask from its place being tucked in the back of her pants and then putting it on. She had to stay disguised. Turning to Jason, she then concentrated on holding him by his torso with her powers. "Alright, we need to get there fast. Hope you're not afraid of heights" Strong then lifted him up into the air, following him up as she concentrated on her own torso to support her as she was lifted up. Once they were high enough, she quickly threw Jason far towards the central park, doing the same to herself. Twisting in the air, she then got a hold on Jason and herself as well to stop them from falling. It wasn't long until the park was in view.

Once they arrived, Strong let herself and Jason down onto the ground not to far from the area where the Secretary was. "Alright, don't do anything risky. We just want to get the secretary out of here, not kill ourselves by doing something risky" she spoke as she quickly walked towards scene.

Orias didn't even flinch at the goat called him different. He was used to it. He blinked as he felt the grass blades wrap around his feet. That was pretty careless. He was glad no instructors were there to see it. He rose his sword over his head but paused as the purple girl came around. Luckily she just left. Weird. He was about to strike with his sword when he heard the snap of the plant wench's fingers. His attention snapped to the girl with the messed up legs as she charged at him. Really fast. Instantaneously he vanished into a puff of foul smelling smoke and reappeared in the branches above her, cautiously watching her movements. She was quick. Seemed to use her legs to attack primarily. Disabling them would be good, but difficult. He'd have to try to trip her up somehow. He had a few ideas.

Quickly, and hopefully before noticed by Fionna, he vanished again, reappearing behind the Cricket. He'd attempt to strike her quickly with a jab before vanishing and appearing again a few feet away from her. He made sure to keep his eyes focused on Fionna and her visual focus and let his ears do the work for finding Cricket.

If Cricket came close, he'd be gone again, reappearing above her and striking down at her head with the heel of his foot when she paused to kick him and plant her weight.

If Fionna began to manipulate the grass beneath him by gazing at it or giving off any other physical clue, he'd be gone again, shifting nearer to Fionna to attempt and strike her with a punch to the ribs. Regardless, he wouldn't try to stay in one position too long.

[ OVERLOAD | GUARDIAN | BLOODHOUND ]

Rook didn't even see the lances fly at him. The blood splashed over him and began to tickle his chest. The sensation was unpleasant, but largely ignorable. Guardian produced a second blade, something Rook had not been expecting. He managed to deflect the first slash, losing another sliver of stone from the back of his left arm, but he wasn't so lucky on the second slash. It was too quick for him to react, and he only managed to catch it on his right forearm. The blade seared through his flesh, again stopping at his bone. The bone was far too hard for even Guardian's blade to cut.

The liquid stone rolled from the cut, down his arm toward his elbow, where it again dripped pebbles down to the ground. Before he could regain his footing, a beam of blue energy struck his chest. He stumbled back one step, Guardian's blade becoming dislodged from his arm. His chest rippled again from the impact, and a deep, painful crack erupted across his torso. He fell back and struck the floor with an earth-rumbling thud. The vibrations from his fall would likely send the three heroes to their behinds, though the battle was won. He groaned in pain as his left hand reached for a nearby stone and his wounds began to heal, slowly. He grumbled, "I give up."

Then, the heroes would see something none of them would have been anticipating or wanting. Through the explosion hole stepped Cassandra, dressed all in black, a wicked expression across her face as blood dribbled down the left-hand side of her face. She scowled at the heroes and looked down to Rook with a peculiar expression of pleasure. "Thank you for your efforts, my Rook. For this, you shall be handsomely rewarded." She snapped her head back up and sneered at the others present. "You'll see my way soon enough. You'll all see. Those humans will not worship you forever." She raised her right hand. A bolt of lightning struck right below where Rook's feet would be. The flash was quick and intense. When it ceased, Rook and Queen were gone, without a trace.

[ ALLEGRO | TORCH ]

Wasp flitted about, looking for a weakness in the orange net of whips. His eyes spotted one and he immediately darted in that direction, slipping out the open back of the net with nary a scratch. Then a burst of flame singed his ear. He sputtered in the air, dodging the next couple before one slammed him dead in the back. He let out a cry of pain as he spiraled down toward the ground, crash-landing on the stands a good distance from both Torch and Allegro. He groaned and remained down. He'd have to give Pat what for after this...

Then, from above, a voice cooed, "Little buggy! You okay!?" The two would look skyward and see a dot rapidly increasing in size as what appeared to be a small woman plummeted to the earth dangerously fast, head-first. Just before she splattered on the ground, her entire body slowed. She flipped in midair and landed gracefully on the stone bench. Her little blue shoes clicked on the stone as she skipped over to Wasp.

The girl twirled her parasol and dusted off her frilly, blue dress before twisting a finger in her curled, blonde hair. She seemed to have no visible deformities aside from being abnormally tiny. She stood hardly five feet tall and looked thin enough to snap in half. Her frilly, pink mask was adorned with far too many jewels to be feasible at all. She giggled and helped Wasp to his feet. "Silly buggy, come on, time for extraction." His wings flapped feebly. The girl's feet left the ground and she began to float up higher, holding tightly to the wasp's arm until eventually his fluttering seemed to allow him to rise up as well. The two rocketed skyward and out of sight in a fraction of a second.

[ EVERYONE AT THE AMPHITHEATER ]

When the members of Eximiae exited the scene, the clouds overhead dissipated and the sun shone through again, brightening up the afternoon. Damian lowered his shield and collapsed onto a bench, wiping sweat from his brow. One of the people he had protected offered him a water bottle, but he turned it down and said, "It's my job to protect you. I need no reward. Thank you for the offer, though."

Each of the humans he had guarded thanked him directly and said that they still supported the bill they had been working on. He sighed, wondering what the general public would think about this now. Then, a lanky boy caught his attention for more reasons than one. His head was buzzed, a jagged scar ran down the left side of his face. He looked to Damian with blank, white eyes. Once he was sure that all of the Humans had vacated the area, Damian approached the boy and extended a hand, introducing himself, "Damian Praesent, current Headmaster of the Praesent Academy for Exceptional Individuals."

"I've heard of you,"
mused the young boy.

"The school is a safe place for people like you. People like us. I would be wonderfully obliged if you would attend."

"I apologize, but I must respectfully decline this offer. Maybe in another life, sir Praesent."

Damian produced a card from his pocket and handed it to the boy. "In case you change your mind. You will always be welcome within our doors."

"Oh, will I?"

The other members of Pafei should have been converging by this time, so the boy bade farewell and trotted off to leave the Amphitheater. Damian would address those assembled, "Good work today, team. The loss of life from their initial attack was regrettable, but thanks to your efforts, no one else was hurt or killed by the rogue Mutants." He rubbed his chin and said, "Fortunately, I have received word that the Secretary of State is alive. Unfortunately, the Mutants responsible for the day's attack have the Secretary of State held captive in Central Park." He turned to Allegro and nodded curtly. "Derek, escort any of the injured back to the Academy at once. I will take whoever wishes to come to Central Park to assist Orias and Professor Milkweed. Take the jet. I'll use the limo." He pulled back the sleeve of his suit and tapped a button on the face of his watch.

A small, private-jet-sized plane would arrive in the amphitheater in about two minutes, waiting for Derek and anyone who wished to rest after the day's events back to the Academy. Damian would lead the remainder down the stands and out to the limo.

Once everyone was in, the car would speed off toward Central Park. Hopefully, they wouldn't be too late...

[ STRONG | BRIMSTONE | GIGABYTE ]

Cricket dashed toward Brimstone when he reappeared on the ground. Fionna yawned and covered her mouth as the grass around Brimstone's ankles creeped up to grab him again. Cricket went for a quick spin kick across his torso, following up with a hop into a straight kick to where his ribs would have been.

Should Brimstone teleport above Cricket, she would have avoided the blow accidentally, due to the sheer speed with which she followed up with her lunging kick. It'd be quite difficult for Brimstone to re-adjust his blow mid-air to hit her without teleporting again.

Should Brimstone appear before Fionna, two branches would launch out from the trunk of the tree behind her, attempting to impale him. She would also react (albeit a bit slowly) and attempt to grab hold of his fist. The punch would have minimal effect on her chest, even if it connected full force.

As Penelope walked into the clearing, Zachariah's ears perked up. He groaned, "We have company." He rose to his feet and stretched, cracking his knuckles as he turned to face the new arrivals. He reached out and grabbed the tree. "Help?" He had forgotten his sword at home. The bark would form itself into a sword as hard and sharp as steel, shaped like a scimitar. He grumbled, "Longsword, Bishop, Longsword." He rolled his eyes and twirled the blade through the air as it morphed into a longsword. None of this would detract Bishop's attention significantly from her attacks against Brimstone. He addressed Strong and Gigabyte, should he also be visible. "Can't you see we're a bit busy here?"

Overloads injury wouldn't be severe enough to warrant going home just yet. He wanted to make sure everyone was safe and everything was dealt with. If Damian was going to central park then he too would want to go with him to help out any way possible. Overload would make a gesture towards Guardian and Bloodhound however. "I'm fine with going with Damian, I'm not really too injured, just a minor scrap on the arm, nothing too big. But those two, they need some care and rest. A lot of rest. I don't want to see them up and about for a bit. Especially not fighting so take good care of them and make sure they don't try any heroics. They need to get their strength back and rest their bodies. They did a lot in the fight and they should be proud of what they did."

"I believe that'll leave just me and Torch to go with Damian correct? We should get a move on and get inside the limo to get to Central Park. Professor Milkweed and Orias are going to need our help pretty badly I feel. Especially if theres more of these type of guys with them."

Bloodhound nearly tumbled to the ground as Rook fall back and hit the floor with a thud, holding himself up only by planting an arm against the ground as he kneeled, and looked up at the mysterious woman who had just appeared. She sneered at them and mentioned something about "those humans will not worship you forever", at which point he laughed and responded, "As if we're-" A lightning bolt like before struck at Rook's feet, and like that the two were gone. Gemini bit his tongue lightly, disappointed at not being able to finish his sentence. "Tch. Insulting and leaving in the same breath, eh? Didn't even let me finish my sentence, the rude knave."

Bloodhound got up and walked over to Damian, and noticed Damian was offered a water by one of the people who had gathered today. By the time he got over there, though, the humans had dispersed, as well as an odd, lanky-looking boy. Bloodhound sighed at missing the opportunity to get a drink as well as see who the boy was, and tried to say nothing as Damian congratulated them on their word before mentioning the Secretary of State was found alive in the company of rogue Mutants. While he really wanted to go and help Professor Milkweed and Orias, he did not relish the idea of more foes that might match - or be worse than - Rook.

Bloodhound smiled at Overload's words, though he thought some of that worry was unwarranted. Guardian probably did need the rest, though. Feigning a sigh, Bloodhound turned to Allegro and said, "Alright, teacher. I guess I'm going back. That man of stone was a bit more of a hassle than I thought, and at my partner's words, I can't consciously let him go worrying if I go along. Forgot to bring some water, anyways." With that, Bloodhound nodded, and went to Allegro's side. He'd go on the jet with the professor, but before that, he'd look back to Overload and say in a cheery tone, "Hey. See ya back at the dorm, mate! Don't go talking so tough and then be the one coming back in several pieces, aye?" He grinned a little at saying those words. As if Damian would permit that last bit if he could help it.

Allegro cracked a small smile at Overload's words, he knew Overload wanted to be a teacher really bad, especially a field teacher. Allegro found it almost funny how he was referring to the way he was, but honestly how could Allegro blame him? Overload was the clear leader of the team, and Allegro himself said some funny stuff when he first got to the academy, it wasn't ever the words said, it was the intention behind them that had real meaning. Regardless of the words used, Overload clearly cared for all of them like family, like a big brother.

Allegro ushered Bloodhound in and took asked for the nice person's bottle of water to give to bloodhound when they left. Allegro would usher Guardian in as well, both seemed incredibly exhausted. Allegro wouldn't allow Guardian much resistance it was clear he needed to go back to the school and rest. Allegro would address Overload quickly before taking off in the Jet, "Overload, be careful these guys are tough do not do more than you can, you and Torch are there to assist Damien. Don't get hurt."

Allegro would go silently communicate with Damien in an incredibly low pitch he would always talk to Damien in that the students couldn't hear. "I feel this goes a lot deeper than the surface. What could they possible want?" He would take the Jet and head off to the academy, handing Bloodhound the bottle of water (if the human gave it to him) to drink. "Considering your abilities were completely mismatched, you did an incredible job of backing up Guardian and helping defend them, your science teacher will be more than happy you tried to apply the weathering process to a rock mutant using your own blood like properties." Allegro would then address Guardian, "For your first battle you did incredibly well and it was a very tough opponent, I know your not fast, but don't forget you have team members and they will always be your saving grace. In battle, know your surroundings and know your allies. I am very proud of what you guys accomplished today. You guys deserve a good rest."
