Basically, I've been debating if I wanted to try and bring something a bit different back to KG in terms of what we're roleplaying. Q tried to bring a beast sort of roleplay forward and we had Rabbit Doubt and whatnot that started and never ended up actually going anywhere. I was thinking of devising something along these lines as well, but I'm trying to figure out how best to make it work.

Originally I was going to try to run the Zombie Survival thing again since I abandoned it the last two times. However, I feel zombies are sort of... played out. I'm a little tired of them. I'd really like to go for... something more... Silent Hill-like.

So.

The set up would be that your character, and everyone else, basically find themselves in a rather... messed up place. It's a city, yes, but the sun never seems to come up. The premise would probably fall into discovering the mystery of the city and putting a stop to it, or finding a way to escape, somehow. That would mean that you've "won".

I would want this roleplay to start on the 1st of October and end on the 31st. So basically, you have a time limit. Dawdle, and you may find yourself rather dead rather quickly. That said, I think this would only work if people are actually willing to put some effort into it and really explore and role play for real instead of being lead by the nose by a story.

There would be no story. None that you can uncover very easily, anyway. It's there, if you can find it. There would be scant few NPCs located around if you happen to find them and ask the right questions. There would be weapons, and monsters. No stats, no RPG elements. Straight up survival roleplaying.

I don't expect this to really go over too well, but as a short experiment I think it could be kind of fun if enough people are interested. Just a quick show of hands to see who, if anyone, would be interested in giving this a go. I'd like to get an OoC up relatively soon so that character creation could be finalized and finished up before October 1st.

The caveat here is that you will likely get punished for not moving along, or not posting for long stretches of time. I know that's not a problem with many people, but others it may be more of an issue.

Other things I was planning, since I have a few yes's:

Basically for inactivity there would be a system of rolls for every day that slips by without a post from an inactive (unless there's a good reason given). That's a chance that you're gonna get trounced by a beastie.

As the month goes on, more gruesome and ferocious creatures would start to become more prevalent stalking the grounds of the city. The roleplay can end before the 31st, but I'd consider that to be the cutoff for the roleplay, unless it's requested to stay the course until completion. :3
