Considering the number of you here who have mobile devices--some Android, some iOS--and have had them for some time, I thought it might be a good idea to ask you all about your mobile/antivirus security. What do you use? What do you find best? I asked one of the computer techs at Best Buy, and she told me that she used Lookout Mobile Security for her Android phone and found it worked wonderfully. I did a brief search and read up on a few of the available protection apps (see this link as a reference: Best Free Antivirus App for Android) and I'm trying to decide between avast! and Lookout. For the moment, I think I'm going to try to get Lookout to make sure that I have something up and running and hope that it's a good choice. I suppose I'll make my final decision based upon feedback. (Note: Device being protected is my http://m.bestbuy.com...=1218668288366'>Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, if that makes any difference. .-.)

Thank you for any help/responses. ^^

Edit: Question... I keep seeing descriptions say "protect your phone"--will the apps still work for my tablet? D: I somewhat assume so, particulary due to the Best Buy associate giving me her answer while understanding that the device to be protected is a tablet....

I've never installed an antivirus on any of my android machines. They're simply not needed as long as you don't do dumb shit on them. o.o
