"That was a low blow, literally!" he said with a chuckle. "Well! Here I come!" he announced, crouching down.
He shot towards Zoey and unleashed a three punch combo at her midsection, aiming to work the body instead of going for head shots. If she backed away from his assault, he'd throw two knives at her in rapid fire succession.

The lights in Ari's sphere dimmed to black and the Loading... screen popped up for a hot minute.
When the lights returned, Ari found himself in a wide, circular room. Two thugs, each approximately six feet tall materialized not far away from him from an array of flashing, blue squares which built them from the feet up. Each of them was carrying a short, thick club. Eerily, the two moved in tandem, as if following a basic video game "standing still" sequence where their shoulders would rise and fall with each breath, and they would pat the club down into their free hands with each fall.
A countdown appeared in green numbers, hovering in midair just before him.READY

Ari looked around as the lights dimmed and a loading screen popped up. The room was pretty cool. He wondered how tough these thugs would be. The light returned and the impressive room displayed two impressive thugs. Ari wasn't sure how he was going to do this. He had learned aikido for this short of thing. He would use that. His squares would help if he got in a pickle. He waited for the thugs to make their move.

The thug on Ari's left rushed toward him, readying his club while the thug to the right circled around, aiming to come in from the side.
The thug raised his club and swung at Ari once, as a means of testing him and paving the way for thug, who simply hung back and continued his circling.

The thug raised his club to block Ari's punch, and didn't even stumble from the impact.
While he focused on the one, the other thug got to his feet and aimed to crack his club over Ari's head. The one Ari was focused on moved to thrust his club into Ari's gut.

The two thugs vanished in a sequence of blue squares and the room returned to normal. Alessandro would feel a dull throbbing in his head and his side would be quite substantially bruised from the final blow.

Dentoka's head fell to one side as his staff swung down and clanged against the floor. Both of Zoey's mushrooms fell short, landing ahead of Dentoka on the ground. He blinked and said, "That all you got? Pretty pathetic. Try this on for size." He held out his left hand before him and snapped his fingers twice. Two balls of flame rocketed from his hand, twisting and turning about one another in the air as they flew toward Zoey at a reckless speed. Unlike Zoey's mushrooms, Dentoka's fire actually could reach his target at this range. "Hot enough for you?" he asked flatly, twirling his staff around before holding it before him, aiming the gem at the head of it toward Zoey. "Or would you prefer I turn it up a notch?"

Dentoka raised his staff, forming a barrier before himself as he called out, "Prysm, Defend!" The first mushroom was vaporized against the armored shell, and the second bounced off. The barrier dropped and Dentoka shook his head. "You really should have kept your distance."
Holding Prysm out before him, it was suddenly engulfed in flames before they rolled forward, washing Zoey and the area around her in thick, heavy fire. As those flames died down, Dentoka would wave his staff to one side, firing a swirling ball of blue flame toward her.
