In case it was missed in the shout box earlier. I am going to be gone for 3-4 days, most likely 4. So if we could get the mission done  *our side coughcough*  Val, Dream and Dion in the next 12 days that would be great >_>; cus I will be MIA starting on the 26th and getting back on the 29th *don't know if morning or not* And depending on how things work I MIGHT be gone earlier starting on the 25th >___>; soooooo yeah.

o.o I'm starting up school tomorrow so time zones will kinda hinder my posting so that might end up putting us behind a little if the whole team has to wait for a post from me. I'll be getting on later in the afternoon from now on which is when everyone is asleep. It shouldn't take longer than 12 days but if the time zones are going to fudge things a little on my side then uh, well sorry on my side of things.

I am, too. I'm going to be changing the skill to something more useful, since as it stands it's kind of a shitty skill. Here we go.

 

Take Initiative - Axel gets a +1 bonus to an attack he does which exploits an opening left by an opponent, IF he consciously makes a point to exploit said opening.

Form Plans - Anyone who follows a plan laid out by Axel receives +1 enacting said plan. (for example he says SNEAK IN they get a +1 to their Stealth check; works in-battle, too)

 

We're winning! - Axel rallies his troops for a final push, granting his allies a boost to offense for the duration of the turn

You're losing! - Axel batters down his opponents with a barrage of insults while they are losing to Axel's team, cutting their defensive ability for the turn.

 

Important to note is those skills will ONLY WORK if your team is ACTUALLY WINNING. You can't rally morale if you're losing.

Yeah I moved the Reason passive to Endurance because it being on Reason was like lolwat why so yeah. PS. That goop from the Heavy bot was able to Immobilize. If you're immobilized, you physically cannot dodge. So that would probably be a good time to use an Endurance-based defensive skill. There are PLENTY of situations I can force you into (and trust me, I WILL force them on you if you decide to completely eschew Endurance, since it'll be the only real way to injure Ellie) where you'd be unable to really dodge very effectively.

 

I also wanted to make a minor point here that I don't know if it was really clear before? The R value for dodge skills indicates how many spaces you can move when performing that particular dodge skill. That extra space moved is a part of the dodge's cost, so yeah. (like Ellie's Air Flow lets her move 1 space while avoiding an attack for 1 Stam). MOST skills are 1 R, but it's possible I'll be poking through and bumping some choice examples up to 2. 3's will likely never be seen, and 2's will only be on really good evasive skills.

 

Oh and Zal keep in mind that you really need to be careful with aerial acrobatics. Ellie doesn't have Levitation OR Flight yet, so she's just as vulnerable midair as any other character. How vulnerable is that? Sitting duck level.

When he gets it, it functions not unlike Magneto's levitation abilities in MCU. He can float up and down, literally lifting and dropping his body with his telekinetic powers. He'd have complete control over his height and junk, so yeah, he'd be able to fight completely from the air if he really wants to. Nine times out of ten, fighting purely from the air would be sort of silly, since there will be things in place where like... you're gonna need to be closer than 4 squares to hit someone, since attack ranges form a sphere around your character, not a cylinder. So you could picture how high off the ground you're flying and take a sort of... horizontal slice of the battlefield and apply the range from the sheet to see if you can hit someone or not. And if you're hit hard enough it's possible to be knocked out of the air. Aerial battles are unlikely to ever happen. (as far as vertical blocks go, I'll judge it based on how high you say you fly; enemies will be defined as being x blocks high if you ask for a specific amount. ALL PEOPLE are 1 block high unless otherwise noted)

 

Flight/Levitation are useful primarily for crossing terrain (because when we're not in training, there's such a thing as terrain which cannot be crossed; some enemies might plant mines, make ground hostile, etc etc. Being able to fly/levitate helps avoid these hazards) but the main thing that it gives you is the +1 Movement, which allows you to move farther while expending FAR less stamina than normal. It lets you move 12 spaces for 3 stam instead of 4. And as Stam amounts rise, the amount of Stam that one batch of movement will cost is going to increase, up to a max of 3. As of now, my idea for this is at level 7, stam cost for movement jumps to 2. At level 14, stam cost jumps to 3 and stays there. And that's Power Level, not total level or talent level or w/e. Consider it to be 1/2 (rounded up) of the highest tier you have unlocked.

 

OH. Important note is a few characters' Evasive skills are currently listed as 0 R, but as of a recent edit I made in the sheet (which will be applied to all uploaded Trees after this mission for reasons we'll see once we finish it), NO EVASIVE SKILL has a R value less than 1. Most TOP TIER evasive skills have R of 2. NO 1-stam evasive skills have R of 2. There is one evasive skill of R 3, and that is Ludovic's top tier dodge counter.

Thanks for all the heads up Iggy. Yeah I will be investing into endurance >.> Not as much into it as my agility of course... But I will be a LOT more careful with the acrobatics. when she gets levitation it will be easier, Flight even better but the heads up is a good thing, >__>; That helps for someone like Ken too since he's a dodge maniac like Ellie. But yes I will take that into note, I was trying to get a bit more creative with my powers >.> Like trying to windpush Nate's daggers or pushing Ken to help him avoid damage (fail) trying to test the waters a bit... Better to do it on a training sim then in mission >____>; But again thank you for the tyi :3

For the record: All of the above worked to some extent. Your wind pushes didn't aid the daggers since that doesn't really make sense (small target not designed to catch any wind isn't gonna get pushed deeper...), but they did do damage. Her push on Ken gave him a boost to Agi when I calculated his damage, so he took less than he would have otherwise. Like all of that sort of stuff WORKS. It's fine, and I definitely encourage it completely.

 

All I'm saying is be careful with aerial acrobatics until you have a means to actually direct your course in midair. Flight and Levitation allow her to sustain herself with wind and slow her descent (glide, essentially), respectively. Without those, you're a sitting duck in midair, just like everybody else. A wind blow can shift you aside a little bit, but it's not a full space and therefore not enough of a dodge to avoid damage (aka to get an agi check). You can't direct the Air Flow around your body well enough without first being able to actually suspend yourself in midair, at least slightly.

 

Just important things to note. :>

 

Ken can "fly" but not really just yet. He does have a Flight ability. Without that, he can't REALLY fly over things. I sort of let it slide partly because it's his first battle and because he didn't ever actually use what would be considered Flight. I mean he turns into a bird birds fly ok but like... if he hadn't been shot out of the air, he still wouldn't have been able to fly up and over the big bot. Important things to note. Abilities don't exist for the shit of it. You need to DEVELOP your powers; you don't just start off awesome. Growth is the name of the game in this RP. :3

o.o Shouldn't the robot be down to 9 since Axel knocked him down to 11 in the round before, and in the last round he got in an uppercut of 2 DMG?

 

Edit: Btw sorry for confusing you. I think...I added in two scenarios for the exact time without explicitly saying the difference between when one would happen...Not that I had an idea when either one would be used because I think I simply forgot I added in the first bit.

Ok so I know the entire plan. I leave out thursday at 6. I'll be back here that night for maybe an hour or so then to sleep (as I have to gather supplies and get proper rest and junk) I will be on Friday morning up until LIKELY 11am Pacific MAYBE up til 12. After that I am coming back monday  around 5-6 UNLESS I end up staying at my friends house which IS a possibility. In that case I won't be back home until likely tuesday evening
