Hey, guys, it's your friendly neighborhood GM here, ready to tell you guys a few things.

 

First off, the pace of the RP right now is fantastic and I want to thank everyone for sticking with us through all the shit that's happened since this RP began in October. <3 We're doing fantastic and it's largely thanks to you guys. We're almost to 90 pages! Can you believe it!? I can't. But I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth!

 

And now, let's get down to business. While I have been pleased with the vast majority of my beautiful and intelligent roleplayers these past six months, there are a few ground rules I want to put in place to stop me from tearing my hair out in the future.

 

As of the time that this post is submitted, the following rules will be in effect [and enforced with great prejudice]:

 

1. Your post in this roleplay must never be less than four full lines of text (not including dialogue) for any reason. If you don't have that much to say (which has - literally - never been a problem for people), either don't post or ask me what you should do. Odds are, if your post will simply be a sentence waiting for the next action (See: Ken in the most recent battle toward the end), I'll say that's fine and just progress the battle without delay. Note that this will not be *as* strictly enforced during combat. But it will still be enforced in some manner.

2. That's it, that's the only new rule.

 

Failure to adhere to this *very* lenient stricture will result in *at best* a PM'd warning from Valor or myself, up to *at worst* removal from the events of the roleplay.

 

 

Before anyone asks "but, but, WHY!? THAT'S SO UNFAIR!!!" I will retort with the following:

 

If you cannot write four lines of text about your characters inner thoughts and feelings about events that transpired since your last post, you are clearly not taking this roleplay seriously, and I will not be made to cater to players who don't care about their character or the roleplay at large. If you care about your character, this should be easy. If you don't, you shouldn't be in the roleplay in the first place. May sound harsh, but I've never spoken to anyone in this roleplay who is incapable of delving into this layer of depth with their characters.

I'm sorry, but that's... not an acceptable excuse this time around. Unless six months is "lately."

 

GRANTED. You were a lot better at the beginning. You just have never really lived up to what I have been hoping for/expecting from everybody. When I notice that someone is just not putting the same effort into things as *literally* everyone else, something is wrong, and it's not a problem with the content I'm creating.

 

I hope things get better for you soon, but I'm not gonna sit around and say that I'm cool with you posting two sentences to sum up what was supposed to be a powerful moment for your character.

Sorry about my last post >.> I woulda went into more detail but like... I didn't see the point in delving further than what I did, I usually have a lot to say but every once in awhile I feel like there really isn't any further need to go into detail at points.

Probably should have been clearer on this. We appreciated everyone's posts at this point. Everybody gave a really nice bit of development. Yours was only "disappointing" in the sense that you have written essays for posts before, but it was in no way targeted by anything I said in the previous bit. I mean - it was at least 4 full lines so... It's just that Ralor's two-sentence reaction to what was meant to be (and taken to be by everyone besides him) a significant character moment felt a little - okay very very - insulting. I had been sort of upset with Ralor's posting for a while, now, but never felt a need to say it because I could write the posts off as "battle" "he didn't have much to say" etc, and it was a whatever thing that I would roll my eyes at and move on. THIS ONE TIME pushed me over the edge from brushing it off and dealing with it to putting my foot down to say that no, it's not acceptable to make a 2-sentence post during a significant moment in your character's development. The general sentiment in that big post I made was a little prod at a couple of people, but it also harkened back to Zoey x Tabitha (Professor Edison) when she was developing her poison potion and making two-sentence posts during character growth. I brushed it aside then, because whatever.

 

Basically, it's been a slow burn and this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. To not single him out specifically, I made a blanket rule that everyone needs to follow going forward. It would be unfair and really rude of me to make a rule for just one person to follow, so I didn't. I tried to dance around calling Ralor out specifically, but I realize that I need to make my feelings on this crystal clear so he can understand how offended and insulted I have been by his behavior of late. I put a LOT of time and effort into this roleplay and trying to make it as fun and enjoyable for you guys as possible. It makes me incredibly upset when someone doesn't take it seriously.

 

Also, Ralor, THIS is the main reason that I snapped on you a few days ago when you were talking about Zoey history in the shoutbox. EXPLAINING Zoey's character to people. You shouldn't HAVE to be doing that. You shouldn't be doing that. The roleplay is for you to develop Zoey's character through her actions in posts and reactions to other people's posts. When your posts use generic language and very little to no characterizing detail ever and you go into this deep conversation about Zoey's character with people in the shoutbox, well, I hope you can see why something like that would make me livid.

2. You cannot raise the same stat 2 SP in a row. So you can't get +2 Strength in this levelup.

3. You only earned 1 PP, so you can only learn *either* the Swallow *or* Flight.

4. You only gained 1 level in your Talent. You only learned T05 - Frenemies.

I changed that and added one to AGI

I bought a PP from the shop, and I figured I'd edit that in now so I wouldnt have to later

I'll edit Transmute out. For some reason I was thinking the level thing referred to the USER'S level not the TALENT'S level. Im dum.

We're back into the thick of things; the first mission has ended (a little while ago) and the 8 peeps in the sim are back in the school proper.
