Alright, this is the beginning of my amazing thread. I ask everyone refrain from posting on here. There is another thread in the help and support section for anyone who needs to my attention as well as a thread for feedback.

First Post will act as an index and will get more beautiful as time goes on.

Lesson 0.1 : Introduction to Computer Science

Exercise 1.0 : Downloading and Installing the JDK

Dion, is also doing something similar to this, but is just teaching the langage Python. I don't think that's a good think it's a good first step for most of you, mainly because you all have never programmed and he already jumped over important topics for beginners. But he's only done one video, so just note he's not applying computer science in the broad sense, just teaching the syntax and semantics of the language. You can find his thread here.

Also, any work that isn't mine I don't take credit for. Wasn't sure if I needed to say that.

For anyone who wants to use my talent towards understanding Computer Science as a whole rather than to just learn another language I have an introductory video for you. Really this is for everyone. It's an MIT 50 minute video of the first class of their introductory course, it should not be overwhelming, if something is, talk to me in the help & support thread or just find me.

Note that they will be using Python, which isn't all that different from Java. I only saw three things that are different, the only important one to note is that Java doesn't have an interactive interpreter like he was using in class. Java is a general language, it's also broad, and technically is mainly an interpreted language, but can be complied. Syntax is also very similar, so if I do continue to put their videos on here, don't worry. If I feel the material is out of our scope, I'll warn and just tell you which minutes of the video to watch, if it comes down to that. As on now, I've only watched this one.
