I put this here because I expect some type of recourse somewhere down the line for posting/asking the question.

What IS easter to you? What do you think it is? Why or why isn't it so important? How do you celebrate it? Yes you can be controversial only and only if it's legit and no troll attempts to rustle jimmies.

Easter, like Christmas, is something I use as an excuse to celebrate and spend time with my family.

Sure, it's a Christian holiday (pagan originally, but that's neither here nor there), but I love it, as I love Christmas. Because I like celebrating. Celebration usually involves tons of food, so that's a plus.

Before High School it was when everyone in class got tons of chocolate eggs if they made an paper basket. We also made tons of other things to celebrate it and as far as I can remember we didn't get too deep into the Christian side of things. We did some history so we knew what the day really was about but most of the time it was just a nice few days which I used to look forward to more then than now.

Now days it's just having fun, giving the kiddies some chocolate eggs, getting some myself and just getting a few days off. The Christian side to things isn't important to us because, well, we're not Christian. We do appreciate it though of course.
