Is it coming out in ps3 as well? I thought it would only be on psp
its only psp. but if you want to play people across the world you someone called adhoc party, which uses a ps3 better connection of ethernet
psp 1 ==> ps3 1==> adhoc party 1==> internet ==> adhoc party 2==> ps3 2 ==> psp 2

I can't wait to get it as well, and I think I'm willing to preorder it. Which I've never done, but $30 might be an okay price for me.
Ha, that's kinda funny that you haven't pre-ordered a game before. I used to all the time before they even gave out bonuses for doing so. I figure if I'm gonna get the game anyway, why not reserve a copy so I can get it on launch? That was of course when/if I had the money.
I'd be willing to look into the ad hoc thing, but we'll see. I'll have the game but still be out in Wisconsin for like 2+ months before I'd have access to my triple again. If I get it up, maybe we can adhoc dissidia in the summa.
I'm still hesitant about the low price.

they only things they had to do (not an exact list)
new characters (models, moves, etc)
new moves/costumes for original characters
new environments
new music
new voice actors
update engine (assists, etc)
new part of story (with is probably low input)
anything you want to add that I missed?
very little money to make, its a psp game
i am hesitant of the 3rd birthday's price, which is also $30.

I heard that there's also a way to play Dissidia's story with the new mechanics as well once you complete the game. They also added in world maps instead of the chessboard system (if I remember correctly.)
The battle system does look the same and likely will have the same moves, but there also seems to be a lot that has changed as well. Maybe it's just because the psp isn't selling well so the game prices are cut to increase sales? I don't know.

Anyway, we have 8-9 new playable characters and I'd like to think that there are two more hidden or something. (Secret if you will) I think they will be from ffvi and ffix, maybe a bad guess, idk.
thoughts?

Why no new characters from nes? ;-; I really wanted Minwu. Red Mage of Light would have been cool. Xande would have been a good choice.

not sure why nes isn't getting more love. My guesses:
FF1 -> No real characters. The only characters there are... are basically there already. WoL's Alt 2 costume is FANTASTIC. I cannot ask for more.
FF2 -> Firion is the only really interesting character of the group. Guy isn't, Maria isn't... maybe Leon? I could see Leon being added in but I don't think that it would be very compelling as it mirrors in my mind Golbez/Cecil from Final Fantasy IV only on a much less scale.
That being said, Minwu would have been a really neat add on, but what does he bring to the table that isn't done by Terra? I dunno. Adding another generic spellcaster is probably not a great idea, but I would have liked to see Minwu, I will agree.
FF3 -> Every character is basically the same, and OK has a nice Alt 2 that looks more like Luneth (which I <3) So I can't complain. I don't like many of the other characters. They're mostly forgettable. Refia, Arc, and Ingus I think is the rest of the cast there. It's hard to pick because it's a job system game, so no one is unique.
FF4 -> Kain was added. I would like Edge as well, but Edge is such a tertiary character to me that isn't not that important. There's another ninja I would rather see that I'll be getting to. Outside of Edge, Rydia is redundant with Yuna. FF4 feels tapped out.
FF5 -> I dislike this cast immensely so I have no opinion. FF3 reasoning fits here. One is all. Buttz is basically the most unique character unless they added in the bad ass Faris. Okay Fine. I MAY have liked to see Faris. We need more pirates, anyway.
FF6 -> Such a huge cast, but the ones I would like to see are probably too numerous. Discounting the Yeti, there are a few really unique and awesome characters that could be added. Shadow, Gau, and Cyan are the first three that come to mind. Gau would be a lot of fun since he'd be crouched down all the time on all fours and used most enemy based attacks. Cyan would be neat for all his Barret-like weaponry. Shadow is arguably the most popular ninja in the series. I would normally say Locke as well, but he's redundant with Zidane, even though he's not as mobile. Other than that, I really don't see many characters who would be good unique additions to the game.
Aside from Mog. I want Mog.
Going onwards I think the selections are rather good. FF7 is tapped out of good/unique fighters, as is 8. 9 you could in theory add Vivi, but it's generic mage. However it's a lovable generic mage. I kind of hope for Vivi to be added, but I feel if he was it would have been announced already since he's a fan favorite. Outside of him, there's no one in FF9's cast who isn't a clone of a pre-established character type. FF10 is the same way. No one offers a unique experience. Balthier would have been nice, but he's exactly the same as Vaan, except much more awesome. Vaan has his Rev.Wings. costume, so I don't care much. He sounds kind of cool to play with. Easy to pick up and play, hard to master.
To be honest, I really wanted a tactics rep. I really wanted Ramza and Delita. I can't think of what Ramza could do though that isn't done by another character, since it would have to focus around him changing jobs or weapons. For Ramza, I think it's okay because he's one of the most noble leads in any of the series.
I'm holding out for 2 secret unannounced characters, but I'm not holding my breath. I really think what we got is all there is.

Well Minwu, being a white mage of sorts could have been really cool, I think he could be a mixture of hand to hand, spell casting, and exdeath like tactics. He could have had spells like wall for opponents to run into, etc. He really could be a new experience character, fit into the story (he's willing to lay down his life), etc.
4 is tapped out, i agree. Their roles are picked up by other games. Palum + polum ice climbers concept would be fun, but i dont see that happening
ff5 - > gilgamesh is in the game under the banner of 5, faris would have been fun if they could give her a unique style
ff6 -> By Cyan do you mean Edgar, if so, I agree. Chainsaws, bioblasters, auto crossbows would really make him a great choice. not sure why they havent added him. shadow would be a fav of mine. gau would be cool, as would mog. some characters are tapped, like sabin is to tifa. setzer & cyan could do the job, etc
ff9 - > quina would be good too
ramza or delita would be very nice, but i really doubt it
also sora, but never will happen, ill live
sorry for my impatience towards writing

I do mean Edgar. My fault.ff6 -> By Cyan do you mean Edgar, if so, I agree. I don't see Quina fitting into this world really... like... at all.ff9 - > quina would be good too
Sora would be cool in a way, but I'd rather keep this game devoid of KH. I wouldn't be opposed to it, but if he's in and one of the characters we mentioned isn't, then that's just not right.also sora, but never will happen, ill live
