Cutting my own hair? Never! I have a nice small time hairdresser do it now. It's worth paying to get a good cut, unless you really know what you're doing.
I guess you've your accustomed to a very short hairstyle (or completely bald) then it'd be easier to just trim it a little with an electric shaver but other than that I'm assuming you'd need lots of practice or just the help from a hairdresser. I personally look for the smaller ones because they talk less (there's something about someone shredding your hair up that makes talking feeling uncomfortable).
