Double Post for great justice.

Just beat the Sample at level 9/8/10 (Stupid Red)

One thing that bothered me a bit with the preceeding scene is that I always though Hojo was making Nanaki and Aerith fight each other, but then on following plays and listening to his 120 year projected research plan and thoughts of breeding Aerith, I became convinced that Hojo planned to have Nanaki and Aerith force mate to create something that would have the powers of an Ancient with the lifespan of one of Nanaki's kind. Pretty creepy if you ask me.

A line after the fight where they ask if Aerith is alright, and Tifa says:

"She seems all right... in many ways."

What... is this line supposed to mean? Also Red XIII says afterwards:

"I have a right to choose, too. I don't like two-legged things."

I just... *shudders* was Red supposed to say both lines there? Was he hitting on Aerith? That's how I always take that part. Regardless. It seems kind of creepy.

I actually am using my Four Slots. it sucks so much, but four slots of materia is kind of nice, which I guess is the purpose. Carbon Bangles are so much better with two linked + 1 with that nice defense and mdef boost. *sigh*

Edit:

Managed to snag a Hardedge and a second Carbon Bangle, so I'm flying with two Carbon Bangles, a badass sword, and I'm feeling pretty good. Cloud and Red hit double digits, but everyone else is under 10. Aerith is sitting at 7. Gonna be a fun escape, that's for sure. Also a reason for me to do well in the motorcycle game because they have such low HP.

Rufus' introduction (another of my favorite scenes)

Rufus: "So... So Sephiroth was actually here. ... By the way. Who are you guys?"

Cloud: "I'm Cloud, former SOLDIER First Class!"
Barret: "I'm from AVALANCHE!"
Tifa: "Same here!"
Aerith: "...a flower girl from the slums."
Red XIII: "... a research specimen."

Rufus: "What a crew. Well, I'm Rufus. The President of Shinra, Inc."

Barret: "You only President, 'cause yer old man died!"

Rufus: "That's right. I'll let you hear my new appointment speech. ... Old man tried to control the world with money. It seems to have been working. The population thought that Shinra would protect them. Work at Shinra, get your pay. If a terrorist attacks, the Shinra army will help you. It looks perfect on the outside. But, I do things differently. I'll control the world with fear. It takes too much to do it like my old man. A little fear will control the minds of the common people. There's no reason to waste money on them."

Tifa: "He likes to make speeches just like his father."

EDIT 2:

Beat Motor Ball at level 11. I should be at Junon around level 11 as well, which is 10 levels under my usual amount. Crazy isn't it?

EDIT 3:

Just beat Bottomswell at 11. Not very easy when his Big Wave was hitting my team for ~100 (50 on Aerith in the back row). Thanks to Long Range and Bio, he went down without much of a fuss. Lots of Limit Breaks being used. Finally got Somersault. So there we have it. Level 12 in Junon. A bit worried about Jenova Birth, but there's very little I can do now about it. I don't imagine her to be much harder than Bottomswell, really.

Poison was a slightly bad idea at low levels since during the time he used Big Wave he died from poison, so he essentially used Big Wave twice without me getting a chance to heal. Results of the battle are Cloud @ 171/433 hp, Tifa @ 128/373 and Aerith @ 159/306. Aerith and Tifa are both level 11 now. I wanted to use Choco/Mog+Elemental in Cloud's weapon as I customarily do, but I told myself no summons allowed at all in this play, so I won't even be equipping them for the elemental bonus. Kind of annoying since I can't get Water/Elemental defense or Wind/Elemental attack at all. Ah well.

FFVII: The game that I've liked for many years before ever playing it or even knowing much of anything about it.
...>_>;
That probably sounds strange, but it's true. .-. I don't know why, but I've pretty much always liked FFVII. I remember when FFVII:AC was first being released. I was very interested in it--I believe that I was even excited; I think I got it right at its release. I enjoyed watching it and watched it a lot. I think I also got DoC not too long after its release. It was around Christmas that I got it and a strategy guide. I never got to sit down and play it, though. :<
My first run-in with FFVII characters was possibly Kingdom Hearts. I liked a lot of them pretty much instantly.

Anyway...
I like FFVII and the FFVII series a lot. It'll likely always be my top favorite or one of my top favorites out of all of Final Fantasy.
Back late August, I finally got the FFVII game. I downloaded it off of the PSN store to play on my PSP with Xanius. It's a lot of fun, and I enjoy it a lot. We've gotten through a fair bit of the story, but we still have some way to go before we beat the game. It's nice to actually be able to get to know the characters and learn the story. From what I can recall off of the top of my head, Vincent, Zack, Sephiroth, Cloud, Nanaki, Reeve, and Reno are my favorite characters. In a way, I'm eager to beat the game. But I also want to take my time going through the game, learning things, and collecting things. I'd like to fully enjoy my playthrough. I know that I won't just stop playing after I beat the game, though. There's a lot that I want to do and complete. :3

After I do beat FFVII, I plan to re-watch Advent Children. I also want to get Crisis Core and play through that story. I want to collect and watch/play/learn about all of the FFVII series. I have a lot to look forward to and enjoy. Yay~
