A rather extreme punishment where one pays for their crimes with their very lives. A way to keep the most dangerous of criminals off of our streets. But is it right?
Some say yes. It keeps the serial killers and serial rapists off our streets and away from us and our loved ones. It removes those who refuse to reform their horrendous ways from our society.
Others say no. It is murder. It takes away their rights to live and exist. It removes their ability to change because they no longer have the chance to do so. It is a crime against humanity.
How do you feel about this? Do you think it is right? Do you think it is wrong? Don't care? Discuss. Remember this is intellectual discussion so no one liners of killing is wrong.

Kingdom-Gaming, where up is down, down is triangle, and everybody hates Lexaeus.
Any dolt with half a brain
Can see that humankind has gone insane
To the point where I don’t know
If I’ll upset the status quo
If I throw poison in the water main
Revenge is the poison we drink expecting our enemies to die.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. I'd rather a serial killer get put to death as fast as possible. Rather then sitting in prison for 30+ years. Every year it costs the US $90,000 per Death Row inmate. We have nearly 3,500 death row inmates in the United States. That's 315 million dollars a year just for Death Row inmates. For them to be put in a prison, watched over, fed, and have shelter and clothes to wear. All for someone who has killed people? Really? And we have homeless people for some reason or another can't sustain themselves that live on the streets. That 315 million could go towards them, to schools for kids, improving the lunch system, the materials. All sorts of things. But it goes towards murders, rapists, and many other horrible humans.

I agree. My only problem with it is that it has the potential to be wrong. Just like when criminals go in and then further evidence points that they are innocent. Death Row prevents them from having that shot at being innocent when they are not.

I don't have a problem, either. But I would rather give them a second chance, regardless of the severity of the crime. Perhaps they can learn from decades in prison.
However, if they callously repeat the crime, I'd say put them to death. If they kill, kill, kill, they're obviously not going to learn. I'd like it if they had more chances, but there's no use risking many lives for the sake of one.
