Just a little something I found today. Didn't see much posted here or for that matter much else I could find about it so far. However it's still pretty cool of a concept http://www.youtube.c...?v=aoUGRGjG07E.

Any thoughts or applications you feel this could bring to the next gen? Personally if it could project character models as well I think it could give the horror genre a nice little boost in fear factor. Little else would be scarier than playing something like Dead Space in the dark and having Necromorphs popping out of your walls at you.

I think that it's pretty awesome, but I don't know how they would intend to project light around your screen or what kind of purpose it would really serve to the game at all. It looks cool, but kind of silly at the same time.

I think basically how it's supposed to work is, is using the Kinect's room sensor but inverted so it shows the game world instead of reading your room. I can't really see what it could do other than to attempt to add a more immersive feel to games. It's still kinda neat though.

I saw the ad for it a while ago and I don't really like it. I like the concept but I don't like what I'm actually seeing. Cool you get a step closer to feeling like you're inside a game but I wouldn't be one of those people who actually want to grab it. I'd find everything distracting with holographic fires showing up on the side of my couch. Maybe if I went through the trouble of clearing my room and playing then it'd be cooler but I wouldn't want to try that in my living room.

I don't know. My point of view might change when I actually try it out.
